Cloth panty liners are an alternative to disposable panty liners.
Why. Because on average, a woman produces about 150 kg of the hard-to-degrade waste (disposable hygiene items) during her fertile life.
Did this number surprise you? So now rather something positive:
What advantages do cloth panty liners offer?
- They are incredibly soft and comfortable. The conventional panty liners are made of the plastics, among others. In our company, the organic cotton is used for the production of the cloth panty liners. This organic cotton is GOTS certified.
- Thanks to the organic cotton, our cloth panty liners are much more breathable than the disposable ones. So they are perfect for the women who struggle with constantly recurring infections or similar problems.
- They are very thin and absorbent at the same time.
- Our cloth panty liners have a perfectly fitting cut. Other cloth panty liners on the market are very often made of only one piece (including wings). But our cloth panty liners are not! In our cloth panty liners, the wings are sewn on separately and separated with a practical hem. This cut then protects them from leaking and slipping.
- They are beautiful, especially this satin variety. The individual well-being of each woman is meaningful, isn't it? :)
- Our cloth panty liners are perfect for light periods, so they are worn a lot at the end of the period (for normal periods, our cloth pads are recommended).
- They are also suitable as a backup to the menstrual cup. They can also be helpful for very light incontinence. So it is about an ideal underwear protection.
- The conventional panty liners contain many fragrances and are not too breathable. Our cloth panty liners are much more breathable than the disposable panty liners. So they are perfect for the women who are struggling with constantly recurring infections or similar problems.
- How much cloth panty liners will I need for one cycle?
- For one cycle you will need the same amount of cloth panty liners that you used before (disposable panty liners). Cloth panty liners are changed similarly often.
These cloth panty liners are sewn by mothers of small children and single mothers in our sewing workshop.
Care and cleaning
Care and cleaning is quite simple (training with cloth diapers for babies can be helpful). You can find more info here.
If you wear the cloth panty liners every day (not just during your period), then the panty liners are washed just like your underwear.
Note: After the first washing process, the length of a cloth panty liner can be a little bit shortened, because it is made of a natural material (100% cotton). So the small shrinkage of this material is quite natural. After the first shrinkage, the length of fabric panty liner is already fixed and will not shrink again.
Usage:
The plain side (fleece) should be at the bottom, facing the underpants. The patterned side should be up, that is, the direction of the skin. Then secure the fabric panty liner with snap or Velcro.
